Blackburn & Seafield Church, Blackburn

A small village of West Lothian, Seafield lies 1¼ miles (2 km) east of Blackburn and 2 miles (3 km) southeast of Bathgate. The village lies between the River Almond to the south and the M8 motorway to the north. The settlement began as Seafield Rows, cottages built to accommodate workers for the Seafield shale mine and oil works, developed from the early 1870s.
