Midbea

Orkney

A small and scattered settlement in the west-centre of the island of Westray in Orkney, Midbea overlook the Bay of Tuquoy, 2½ miles (4 km) south of Pierowall. A school and school-house here were built in 1878, although the school fell from use in 1957. The ruins of mediaeval Cross Kirk lie a mile (1.4 km) to the southeast.
