Milton of Edradour

(Edradour)
Perth and Kinross

A small settlement lying a mile (1.5 km) east of Pitlochry in Perth and Kinross, Milton of Edradour was established as the site of a Lint Mill, which separated flax fibres and is known to have been operating in 1772. This is shown on the First Edition of the Ordnance Survey map, but had closed by the end of the 19th C. The small two-storey mill building remains. The settlement is now principally known as the location of the Edradour Distillery, Scotland's smallest, which opened in 1825.
