Scottish Borders

An isolated hamlet located in a forest of the same name in the S Scottish Borders, Craik lies 10 miles (16 km) southwest of Hawick. Associated with farming and forestry, the settlement has recently developed through tourism.

Craikhope Outdoor Centre lies 2½ miles (4 km) to the southwest. Craik Moor also lies to the southwest, with Craik Cross Hill rising to 449m (1473 feet) on the border with Dumfries and Galloway beyond.
