Redscarhead
Scottish Borders
A location on the A703 road 2¼ miles (3.5 km) north of Peebles in the Scottish Borders, Redscarhead is the site of a farm, together with a memorial to George Meikle Kemp (1795 - 1844) who designed the Scott Monument in Edinburgh. In 1809, the fourteen year-old Kemp was apprenticed here to Andrew Noble, a master-wright and carpenter. The Windylaws Burn meets the Eddleston Water a short distance to the west.
