Bridge End

Shetland

A hamlet on the island of West Burra, off the west coast of the Shetland Mainland, Bridge End is located at the end of the road bridge which connects to the neighbouring island of East Burra. There is small marina and an outdoor centre here, together with a community hall and three churches. The settlements of Grunasound and Toogs lie immediately to the north, but development in the later 20th century has meant the three settlement have effectively coalesced.
