A small settlement on the northwest coast of Whalsay in Shetland, Marrister lies a mile (1.5 km) west southwest of Brough and a similar distance north northeast of Symbister. The purpose-built Fernlea Care Centre (or Wishart Anderson Centre) here provides short-term and long-term residential care for adults and the elderly.
