Balfron Station
StirlingA small settlement in SW Stirling Council Area, Balfron Station lies 2 miles (3 km) west of Balfron and 2½ miles (4 km) north of Killearn. The settlement grew up around a station on the Forth and Clyde Junction Railway, which opened in 1856 and ran from Dumbarton to Stirling. Both the line and station closed in 1959.
