Strone (Strongalvaltrie)
StirlingA location in Strath Gartney on the N shore of Loch Katrine, Strone is situated a half-mile (0.8 km) west of Edra and 7 miles (11 km) northwest of Aberfoyle. Strone is recorded on the First Edition Ordnance Survey map (1867) as Strongalvaltrie. The Strone Burn descends steeply to fall into the loch here.
