A small settlement on the northwest coast of Barra in the Outer Hebrides, Allasdale (Gael: Allathasdal) is located a half-mile (0.8 km) southwest of Greian and 1¼ miles (2 km) north of Borve. There is an extensive dune system, with associated machair, lying to the west around Allasdale Bay. A storm in 2005 revealed prehistoric remains which were subsequently investigated by the Channel 4 television programme Time Team.
