Bayhead

A hamlet on the southwest coast of North Uist in the Outer Hebrides, Bayhead (Gael: Ceann a' Bhaigh) lies on an inlet of the same name, 1¼ miles (2 km) north of Kirkibost Island. It is the largest of the settlements which comprise the locality of Paible and the Gaelic-medium Paible School, which provides primary and secondary education to pupils between the ages of 5 and 14, is located here. There is also a Free Presbyterian church, post office, shop and petrol station.
