Langass (Langais, Langash)
Western IslesA location with a hotel in North Uist, Langass (Gael: Langais, also Langash) is situated 5½ miles (9 km) southwest of Lochmaddy. It lies below Ben Langass (Gael: Beinn Langais) which rises to 90m (295 feet) and overlooks Loch Langass to the southeast. The hotel was once the lodge of the surrounding sporting estate. Nearby are a stone circle and a Neolithic burial chamber.
