Kincardine

A location, once a village, which gave its name to the old county of Kincardineshire in SE Aberdeenshire, Kincardine lies in the Howe of the Mearns, 2 miles (3 km) northeast of Fettercairn. The location comprises the Mill of Kincardine and the old palace of Kincardine Castle, ruined in the 14th century. The Devilly Burn runs through the area, much straightened.
