A crofting township on the west coast of North Uist in the Outer Hebrides, Balmartin (often Balemartin, Gael: Baile Mhartainn) lies to the north of Loch Hosta, a mile (1.5 km) northeast of Tigharry. Balone Field, just to the north of Balmartin, is the site of the North Uist Highland Games, held annually in July.
