Auchinraith
South LanarkshireA district of Blantyre in South Lanarkshire, Auchinraith once formed a separate settlement to the east. In an area long associated with coal-mining, the Auchinraith Colliery was sunk in 1872. An explosion in the pit killed six men on the 30th August 1930. There is now an industrial estate located here.
