A settlement at a notable road junction above Loch Long, Whistlefield lies a mile (1.5 km) north of Garelochhead in Argyll and Bute and has a long-established inn. The road junction was improved to form the Whistlefield Roundabout, allowing the transportation of nuclear missiles from Coulport to the naval base at Faslane. There is another Whistlefield located 5½ miles (9 km) to the west.
