A location in East Ayrshire, Glenlogan lies on the River Ayr a half-mile (1 km) east southeast of Sorn. Today it comprises Glenlogan House and Glenlogan Bridge, but the post-industrial landscape hints that there was once a settlement with coal mines, limestone pits and an iron-works.
