A small settlement in NW South Uist, Ardkenneth (Gael: Aird Choinnich) is located to the south of Liniquie, a mile (1.5 km) west of Eochar, on the north shore of Loch Bee. The most significant building is St. Michael's Roman Catholic Church, dating from 1829, which includes a house for the priest. Outside is a smaller version of Our Lady of the Isles, the statue by Hew Lorimer (1907-93) which stands on Rueval.
