A small crofting township on the south coast of South Uist, South Glendale (Gael: Gleann Dail bho Dheas) overlooks the Sound of Eriskay a mile (1.5 km) east northeast of Taobh a' Chaolais. The settlement is accessed via a road which extends from the Eriskay Causeway to the west, with a footpath extending north to North Glendale.
