Port Mary
Dumfries and Galloway

A location on the Solway Firth coast of Dumfries and Galloway, Port Mary lies 1¼ miles (2 km) south of Dundrennan and 5 miles (8 km) southeast of Kirkcudbright. Port Mary House is a two-storey late-18th century Laird's house. Port Mary Bridge and a small settlement lie to the west. A bay, also called Port Mary, lies to the east. It is from this bay that Mary, Queen of Scots, is said to have left Scotland for the last time in 1568.
