Thorntonhall
South LanarkshireThe settlement of Thortonhall is situated 2 miles (3 km) southeast of Busby, 3 miles (5 km) west of East Kilbride in South Lanarkshire Council Area. Thortonhall has no noticeable village centre, it developed rather as an exceptionally affluent commuter centre for Glasgow, said to have the largest proportion of millionaires of any settlement in Scotland. The local railway station sits on the Glasgow to East Kilbride suburban railway line.
