Kirkton (Kirkton of Auchtertool)
FifeA hamlet of S Fife, Kirkton (or more fully Kirkton of Auchtertool) lies a half-mile (0.8 km) southwest of Auchtertool and 3 miles (5 km) southeast of Cowdenbeath. The parish church (1833) and its manse (1812) lie on a ridge a quarter-mile (0.4 km) to the northwest. The Mossmorran petrochemical processing plant is located a mile (1.5 km) to the west.
