A small settlement at the head of the Wick of Breckon, on the north coast of the island of Yell in Shetland, Breckon (occasionally Breakon) is situated immediately to the north of Midbrake, a mile (1.4 km) northwest of Greenbank and 1¼ miles (2 km) east of Gloup. The Hill of Breckon rises to around 70m (229 feet) to the southwest.
