Portlethen, a fishing village and a quoad sacra parish in Banchory-Devenick parish, Kincardineshire. The village stands on the coast, 7 furlongs E by S of Portlethen station on the North-Eastern section of the Caledonian railway, this being 8 miles S by W of Aberdeen. The quoad sacra parish, constituted by the court of teinds in 1856, is in the presbytery and synod of Aberdeen. The church contains 460 sittings.
