Camperdown Wildlife Centre

Located within Camperdown Park, 2½ miles (4 km) northwest of the centre of Dundee, Camperdown Wildlife Centre is a small zoo run by Dundee City Council Parks Department. Primarily the home to more than fifty species of native wildlife, the centre also includes more exotic species such as a two European brown bears, wolves, Arctic foxes, monkeys and a lynx, together with a recently-developed ring-tailed lemur enclosure and water-feature for a European otter. Following a critical report in 2003 which threatened the centre with closure, significant improvements were quickly made.
