Shivinish


(Sibhinis)

A low-lying uninhabited island of the Monach (or Heisker) Group, which lies to the west of North Uist in the Outer Hebrides, Shivinish (Gael: Shibhinis) lies between the larger Ceann Iar and Ceann Ear, and is linked to both at low tide. It has an area of 28 ha (69 acres).
