Vacsay


(Bhacsaigh)

A small uninhabited island in the Outer Hebrides, Vacsay (Gael: Bhacsaigh) lies in West Loch Roag, on the west coast of the Isle of Lewis in the Outer Hebrides. Vacsay extends to 41 ha (101 acres) and rises to 34m (112 feet), a half-mile (1 km) southeast of Pabay Mor, 1¼ miles (2 km) east of Valtos and 1½ miles (2.5 km) to the west of Great Bernera.
