A small, almost circular, uninhabited island located at a narrow point in Loch Shiel between the Sunart and Moidart districts of Highland Council Area, St. Finan's Isle (Gael: Eilean Fhianain) lies 5½ miles (9 km) east of Acharacle. The island is the location of an ancient graveyard and the ruins of St. Finan's Chapel and is said to have been the first home on mainland Scotland of the Irish saint.
