Piperdam Golf and Country Park

A leisure and recreation facility built around a loch of the same name, Piperdam is located 2 miles (3 km) northwest of Liff and 3 miles (5 km) north of Longforgan. Developed from 1997, it comprises an 18-hole golf course, a 16 ha (40 acre) trout loch which provides boat and bank fishing, a golf driving range, holiday lodges and a club-house with a leisure spa and gym, restaurant, bar and function suite. The green-field Piperdam village has developed in association immediately to the north.

The loch had attracted fishing ospreys since the 1980s but a pair settled on a nesting pole in 1999 and the Piperdam Osprey Centre was constructed to provide an observation facility for visitors via closed-circuit television. Displays give information on ospreys in Tayside and elsewhere in Scotland.
