A residential suburb of S Glasgow, Craigton lies 3 miles (5 km) west southwest of the city centre, to the south of the M8 motorway between Bellahouston Park to the east and Cardonald to the west. A cemetery, established in the 1870s lies at the western fringe and a crematorium was established within the cemetery grounds in 1957.
