Carntyne

A suburb of Glasgow to the east of the city centre and adjacent to Robroyston, Riddrie and Cranhill, Carntyne was developed on the estate of the former Carntyne House during the inter-war years as a housing renewal scheme. Located around the Edinburgh Road (A8), many of the streets are named after districts of Edinburgh. Carntyne is served by a railway station, lying at the south of the district, on the line to Coatbridge and Airdrie.
