A bay on the west coast of the Rhins of Galloway in Dumfries and Galloway, Cairngarroch Bay lies 3 miles (5 km) southeast of Portpatrick and a similar distance west of Sandhead. The bay is bordered by steep bluffs, with the scattered settlement of Cairngarroch beyond. There is another Cairngarroch Bay located 10 miles (16 km) to the south southeast.
