Rubh' a Bhuachaille


(Rubh'a Bhuachaille)

A headland which on the northwest coast of Sutherland district in Highland Council Area, Rubh' a Bhuachaille (meaning 'point of the herdsman') is located at the southern end of Sandwood Bay. It is surrounded by cliffs and the remarkable sea stack of Am Buachaille lies adjacent. The islets of Am Balg lies a mile (1.5 km) northwest of the headland, while Cape Wrath lies 7 miles (11 km) to the northeast.
