Beinn Sholum

A prominent hill in the SE of Islay a half-mile (1 km) southwest of Loch Uigeadail and 2½ miles (4 km) north northwest of the coastal settlement of Ardbeg. Beinn Sholum rises to 347m (1138 feet) overlooking the Sholum Lochs to the south and Moine na Surdaig to the west. There are several tiny lochans lying close to the summit, which is marked by an Ordnance Survey triangulation pillar.
