People's Palace, Glasgow Green

Opened in the Glasgow Green in 1898, the People's Palace is home to a museum dedicated to the social and political life of the city. Constructed in red sandstone, it is French Renaissance in design and was built by the City architect of the time, A. B. MacDonald. The rear of the building comprises a large winter garden which is four times the size of the museum.
