Broch of Gurness


(Brock of Gurness)

An Iron-Age broch situated on the Aiker Ness peninsula, 17 miles (27 km) northwest of Kirkwall, on the mainland of Orkney. The site was occupied continuously from the early Christian era to the Viking Age.
