Oxna

Now uninhabited, the Shetland island of Oxna lies to the west of Papa. With an area of 68 ha (168 acres) and rising to 38m (125 feet) at Muckle Ward, the island is linked by a reef to the rocky Hoggs of Oxna which are, in turn, separated from three islets to the north known as the Cheynies by Bulta Sound. The ruins of the former main settlement, which was abandoned after the First World war, are located at Sandy Voe
