A summit of the Formartine district of Central Aberdeenshire, Core Hill rises to 245m (803 feet) a half-mile (1 km) east northeast of Cross of Jackston and 2 miles (3 km) southwest of St Katherines. The Meldrum television transmitter (which began broadcasting in 1955) lies on its summit, together with several other masts.
