Beinn Tart a' Mhill

The highest summit on the Rhinns of Islay in the Inner Hebrides, Beinn Tart a' Mhill rises to 232m (761 feet) 2½ miles (4 km) west southwest of Port Charlotte. Its eastern and southern slopes are forested. Classified as a Marilyn, its summit is marked by an Ordnance Survey primary triangulation pillar installed 1948-49. A transmitter mast is located on a subsidiary summit to the west southwest, while a chambered cairn known as the Giant's Grave is situated on the slopes a quarter-mile (0.5 km) to the south.
