The highest of a small range of modest hills located in the centre of the Isle of Lewis in the Outer Hebrides, Beinn Mholach rises to 292m (958 feet) between Beinn Bhearnach and Ben Barvas, 5½ miles (9 km) northwest of Stornoway. The Ordnance Survey map records another less significant Beinn Mholach 1¾ miles (2.75 km) to the south.
