An uninhabited rock-trimmed islet in the Sound of Islay in the Inner Hebrides, Glas Eilean is located 2½ miles (4 km) west northwest of Jura House. It extends to 2.9 ha (7.1 acres) and reaches a height of 9m (29 feet). A narrow channel separates Glas Eilean from Jura even at low tide.
