Lodge Island

A substantial but uninhabited riverine island on the course of the River Dee in Dumfries and Galloway, Lodge Island is located 2 miles (3 km) west southwest of Castle Douglas. Extending to 20.4 ha (50.4 acres), this low-lying island is divided into fields and farmed from Lodge of Kelton farm, accessible via the Lodge Bridge.
