Long Loch


(Long Loch of Lundie)

A loch within the Sidlaw Hills close to the western boundary of Angus, Long Loch (or more fully the Long Loch of Lundie) is situated a mile (1.6 km) southeast of Hill of Keillor and 1¼ miles (2 km) north of Lundie. The loch is designated as a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI), notable for its surrounding by fen vegetation that includes a variety of water plants, such as lesser tussock sedge and a rare water starwort. There is a boat-house on its eastern shore.
