Two lochs, the larger almost 1¼miles (2 km) in length and the smaller just over a half-mile (1 km) in length, the Black Lochs are located in the North Lorn district of Argyll and Bute, 2 miles (3 km) southeast of Connel and 4 miles (6.5 km) east northeast of Oban.
