The uppermost, and larger, of a pair of lochs lying between Glen Golach and Lower Glen Astle on the Oa peninsula in the south of the island of Islay in Argyll and Bute. Glenastle Loch is situated a mile (1.5 km) northwest of Risabus. It drains into Lower Glenastle Loch to the northwest.
