A small loch located towards the centre of the western arm of the Cowal peninsula of Argyll and Bute, Loch Melldalloch lies to the east of Melldalloch and 3 miles (5 km) north northwest of Millhouse. The loch is largely surrounded by plantation forest and contains a small wooded island, which is linked to the shore.
