Eileach an Naoimh

The southernmost of the Garvellachs, a group of islands in the Firth of Lorn, Argyll and Bute, Eileach an Naoimh is a narrow island 1 miles (1.5 km) in length, with an area of 56 ha (138 acres). Now uninhabited, there are the remains of beehive cells and a monastery established in the 6th century by St Brendan.
