Loch Urrahag


(Loch Urghag)

A substantial but shallow loch lying amongst the blanket peatlands of the NW of Lewis in the Outer Hebrides, Loch Urrahag (Gael: Loch Urghag) is located a half-mile (1 km) east southeast of Arnol and 1¼ miles (2 km) west southwest of Brue. Connected to Loch Bruadale in the south, the loch casts off the River Ereray through Glen Ereray to the north. The loch provides popular trout fishing.
