Harelaw Reservoir

A small reservoir located above Port Glasgow in Inverclyde, Harelaw Reservoir lies next to the smaller Knocknairshill Reservoir at a height of approximately 210m (688 feet), a mile (1.5 km) southwest of the town centre. It is impounded by an earth embankment dam and is operated by Scottish Water for the supply of drinking-water. A recreational fishery here is managed by Port Glasgow Angling Club. Confusingly, there is another Harelaw Reservoir in East Renfrewshire 13 miles (21 km) to the southeast.
