Eilean Imersay


(Eilean Iomarsaigh)

An uninhabited rocky island off the southeast coast of Islay in the Inner Hebrides, Eilean Imersay (Gael: Iomarsaigh) lies a half-mile (1 km) east of Ardbeg. It is connected to Aird Imersay by stepping stones at low tide. It extends to 20 ha (49 acres) in area. There are a series of rocks which surround the island, including Iseanach Mor, Iseanach Beag, Cleit Buidhe, Corr Sgeir, Sgeir a' Chlachain, Sgeir Dubh and Sgeir Sgleata.
